Transportation in China
Huang, Kennan China around 2015 has been improving on an environmental resilient transportation system. A resilient transportation system offers citizens different methods of transportation. Such as having the option to take a train, ride a bike, or take the bus. (Huang, Kennan) The "resilient¨ part of this transportation method refers to how it can be fueled by multiple energy sources. Such as wind, solar, and oil. It uses fossil fuels sparingly. (Huang, Kennan) Some examples of China's transportation advancements include the following: Electric Cars: China has a five year plan that will increase the use of electric cars and hopefully have 5 million of these electric/ hybrid cars on the road by 2020. By 2015 China bought 188,00 electric cars (which is about 1% of the countries car sales that year) but has since grown to 223% the following year. Although sales in the EV market has risen in China, the U.S. has declined (2014 to 2015)- from 122,00 to 116,00....
